Task types

Signals uses a small set of task families. The required platform differs by task, but the participant flow stays the same.

Task availability

Tasks are relevant only while a quest is live. The quest state determines whether participants can still work through the task set or must wait for review and claims.

Draft / unfunded
The quest is still being configured, deployed, or funded. It is not open for participation yet.
Active
The quest is live. Participants can join and complete the available tasks.
Ended
The participation window is closed. The creator is reviewing the quest outcome.
Claim open
The quest has been finalized and selected participants can claim rewards.
Claim window closed
The claim period ended. No further participant action is available.

Task families

The platform used by the task determines what is checked and what kind of participant action is required.

X
Used when a quest includes X-based actions
How it works
X tasks use the linked X account and are checked against the quest rule after the participant returns to Signals.
Typical use
Typical examples include follow, like, and repost tasks.
Verification note
The exact action depends on the quest configuration.
Telegram
Used when a quest includes Telegram community tasks
How it works
Telegram tasks usually require joining a group or channel and then returning to the quest page.
Typical use
Typical examples include join-channel and join-group tasks.
Verification note
Signals checks the linked Telegram state against the quest rule.
Discord
Used when a quest includes Discord server or role checks
How it works
Discord tasks can check server membership or role ownership after the participant returns to the quest page.
Typical use
Typical examples include join-server and role-based tasks.
Verification note
Server configuration and role state can affect the result.
Website
Used for external links and simple off-platform destinations
How it works
Website tasks send the participant to an external destination and back to the quest page.
Typical use
Typical examples include opening a project page or campaign destination.
Verification note
These tasks are usually the lightest task type in the set.
